[Nov 2007] With the tank pushed into position, and the brackets firmly fastened to the tank, I marked lines on each bracket where the floor ribs were. The brackets will get pop riveted to the floor, and I wanted to maximize the number of rivets that go through a floor rib. Lucky for me, btw, that I chose flush rivets initially for the floor. The drawings don't call for that. LP4-3 rivets called for would have prevented the brackets from sitting flush to the floor.
Anyway, I drilled the brackets for 8-10 pop rivets each. I was able to get 2-3 of those aligned with ribs on each bracket.

![[Nov 2007] I took advantage of two attach points built into the top of the tank and the close proximity to the screws along the side rib/flap cover. All I had to do was fabricate some simple aluminum straps that run from the flap screws to the available tank attach points. So this tank is firmly held in place high and low. This pic was taken near the end of the installation, so you can see the vent and oil lines are already run. Ideally, this would go under the floor ribs, but I didn't want to drill my floor off as it's all already nicely painted, rivets and all. That would also introduce a potential access issue for inspection of any ties or clamps holding the line in place. So for me, that was out. Another better route might be through the center channel where the pushrod for the tail is. I was concerned about having too much there with future wiring, and there's not much space to pentrate the 705 bulkhead in that area. I decided to route the line along the side of the fuse, underneath the armrest, down to the fuel vent line, then up and down to the firewall.
